About One Day In The US

One of the founding members of heavything{dot}com, Johnny Lawless decided to pursue his own writing here at One Day In The US. The title reflects some of the love and optimism that the author occasionally has for this blighted country. That and the fact that nobody had a .us extension at the time and it was still pretty cool.

Each of the sections contains individual entries which may be loosely interrelated thematically with others in the section as well as contributing to the combined work.

Each entry was originally written longhand, edited and transcribed. Each of the initial sections originally covered a period of about two months apiece.

Johnny Lawless turned 30 in September, 2002, deep within the Crazy Months. He is unmarried and has lived in Northern California all his life. He has enjoyed the occasional escapes to the world's Great Travel Destinations: Sydney, London, Seattle, Rome, Boise...

The author has worked on a number of Internet projects since 1997. This is his fifth domain-level project. He has been writing since fourth grade and had his first piece "Pete's First Case" published in his Junior High School's annual literature and arts publication "The Puma".
